The objectives of the Club are as follows:

  • To interest people in and to promote sailing, and to do those things necessary to facilitate a fellowship of boating enthusiasts.

  • To promote and regulate sailboat racing under uniform rules and in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

  • To hold social events for the benefit and enjoyment of the members and their guests.

  • To foster knowledge of Seamanship and all related subjects.

General Information

Our Yacht Club is based at the South Shore Marina but includes members at the North Shore Marina as well.  We are a newly formed group that is just getting orgainized.  If you have an interest in sailing and would like to join us, you are sure welcome.  The website is still under construction but the membership page has all the  contact information. 

We also plan on holding races through out the season and several regattas. At the end of the season, we will host the Commodore's Ball.

Entrance Fee:  Daily or Annual Pass

Directions:

Take the I-25 exit for US50 west/Canon City. Drive about 3 miles, then turn left onto Pueblo Blvd. (traffic light). Drive 5 more miles, then turn right onto Thatcher/Rte. 96. Drive 3 more miles and turn right.  You will be able to see the dam at this point.  You reach a "T" in the road.  A left will take to South Shore Marina and a right will take you below the dam, through the Park and to the North Shore Marina.  You will need to pass through one of three checkpoints when entering the Park.  You can buy your pass at any one of the three.
